Taste the fresh-picked goodness and flavor of local vegetables and fruit, free range eggs, meat, cheese, seafood, baked goods, preserves and honey. Find unique artisan and craft products.

Errington Farmers Market
The Errington Farmers Market offers fresh produce, baked goods, bedding plants and items created by local crafters as well as coffee and goodies from the coffee shop in a woodsy, friendly atmosphere. There is always music playing, activities for the kids and lots of conversation with friends and neighbours.

Summer by the Sea Street Market
Every Tuesday night from 6 – 9 starting June 14 to August 30, Parksville’s own outdoor market with vendors selling a range of goods from baking, garden fair, toys, jewellery, clothing, artists, non-profit societies and much, much more.

“In the Pink” Block Party & Specials
Join us Friday Nights! Downtown Businesses are gearing up for “We’re in the Pink” every Friday night every Friday from June 17th from 5 to 8 pm going to September 2nd. Come enjoy the local creations and talent at the Primrose Street Block Party and check out the Hot Pink Specials from the merchants and restaurants. Summer in Storybook Village
Storybook Village is open this summer for free family fun Mon & Wed mornings from 10 to noon, and Tue & Thu afternoons from 1 to 3. Visit the buildings in Munchkinshire; kids can ride the pedal cars, bikes, plasma cars and trikes on the Roundabout Roadway. Bring your own helmet if you have one. Summer visitors are welcome!

Parksville Beach Festival: QF Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition & Exhibition
The QF Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competiton & Exhibition takes place July 16 & 17 this year. The public can view the sand sculptures beginning at 2 pm on Sat, July 16. The winners will be announced on Sunday, July 17 at approx. 5 pm. And the exhibition will continue until August 14. Be sure to check out the Big Splash Entertainment weekend Aug 5-7!

North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre – Raptor Presentations
During the months of July and August on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 1:30, NIWRA will be presenting glove trained raptors such as Bardo the owl, Sandor the eagle or Emily the Saker Falcon. Be surprised which one will appear!

Camp Narnia: A Children’s Summer Camp
Camp Narnia is a BC summer camp where adventure and imagination thrive! Camp Narnia ran from 1986 – 2006 both on Salt Spring Island and near Shawnigan Lake. It is a private, non-denominational camp whose programs are based on the creative and imaginative children’s stories, the Chronicles of Narnia. Camp Narnia is centered around storytelling, forest and nature activities, farming, unique crafts, theater and so much more. We work with the goal of fostering inclusiveness, respect and the opportunity for children to challenge themselves and to make long-lasting friendships.

QF Festival of Lights Fireworks
QF Festival Of Lights fireworks celebrate the end of the Quality Foods Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition and Exhibition the night before Kidfest and the QF Childrens Sandcastle Competition. The fireworks music will be simulcast to music on 88.5FM The Beach at dusk.

Splash – A Fundraiser for Moorecroft Regional Park
While strolling the beautiful grounds of Pacific Shores Resort & Spa, you will sample gourmet appies from The Landing West Coast Grill and fine beverages from Sumac Ridge Estate Winery, Chase & Warren Estate Wine and Vancouver Island Brewery. As well, enjoy displays by local artists Debbie Goodman, Dan Gray, Joyce Hedges, Ilse Holling and Lyndia Terre, and live music by Rob Kennedy (robkennedymusic.com). Participate in some friendly competition with a silent auction and “fun-raising” games! Funds raised will go toward The Nature Trust of BC’s commitment to the purchase price and restoration work of important facilities and trails at Moorecroft Regional Park.

KidFest
KidFest is a day of fun, family and laughter. It is a free community event, on Parksville Community Beach. Our mainstage features non stop entertainment. Over 30 community groups are on site to provide free interactive games, crafts and activities for children under the age of 14. There are also concessions and a handful of wristband activities.
